I asked her if she'd snuggle still
when I was old and gray.
She looked at me and rolled her eyes,
"I'll be too big, you know."
"You'll be to me my little girl."
She paused and then said, "No."
Nocturnal Sanders is a challenge to myself to write a new poem for each of the next 365 days. Along the way I hope to discover my hidden voice of creativity.
